Don’t miss out on an update of Senate Bill 488 and having your voice heard!
As the California Association of Public Insurance Adjuster’s (CAPIA) general counsel, I am proud to say that the current board is making positive changes to help the general membership and public adjusters throughout California. This year a new Executive Director, Robb Greenspan has been appointed by the Board. And in an effort to unify Northern and Southern California, a new Vice President of Northern California for CAPIA, Gordon Scott was appointed to both CAPIA’s Board and the newly formed executive committee to deal with Senate Bill 488.
Come join the colleagues of your profession at out general meeting on Friday, June 26, 2015, from 11am to 2pm at Maggiano’s Little Italy located at South Coast Plaza, 3333 Bristol St, Costa Mesa, CA 92626. If you are not a member, this is your time to join and be heard! All new and existing members are welcome.
The Agenda: Included in the $50 attendance fee will be an Italian lunch along with an approved continuing education (CE) credit with a presentation featuring yours truly regarding Additional Living Expenses and the current case law impacting ALE. A discussion regarding the newly proposed Code of Conduct for the CAPIA membership; and, importantly, the updates and issues surrounding proposed Senate Bill 488 which is now a two year bill and needs your input and support to make sure every public adjuster’s interests are considered. Senate Bill 488 proposes negative regulations to the profession of public adjusting and should be taken seriously.
CAPIA’s lobbyist, John Norwood, will be on hand at this meeting to discuss and hear the thoughts of all CAPIA members regarding the proposed Senate Bill changes. Your opinion counts and this is your opportunity to let your voice be heard!
Come meet your colleagues and see what you can do to make your profession better! Please RSVP to CAPIA Treasurer, Peter Davidson asap at (818) 430-2288.
