Friday at 2 With Chip Merlin will feature a special Halloween guest—the Wizard. The Wizard will answer the following question posed by a public adjuster regarding Xactimate roof pricing:
At Skipton class I asked about the Xactimate line items on the Roofing estimates. Xactimate changed all RFG labors to DMO. It dropped the whole estimate prices down by thousands of dollars. I spoke to Xactimate and they were not aware that approximately 3 years ago the items were changed to DMO.
About a month later after my conversation some of the DMO labor on roofing items were changed back to RFG labor.
Of course, the insurance companies do not pay when we correct the appropriate labors associated with trades.
Hurricane Zeta ripped through Louisiana and Mississippi this week. The Wizard will discuss the adjustment rules for Zeta.
