With all the changes affecting contractors, property owners, and other insurance professionals, Caeden Tinklenberg created the Iowa Claims Conference to help everyone understand the new rules and evolving laws, and how to navigate the increasingly complex claims process. Next week’s conference will bring together public adjusters, contractors, appraisers, attorneys, umpires, regulators, and other professionals to spend a few days focusing on real education and practical takeaways that improve the claims experience for all involved.
The conference agenda focuses on real education and practical takeaways that should improve the claims experience, including ethical obligations in property claims handling, commercial roof system failures and storm damage evaluation, business income essentials, HOA claims with large deductibles, and navigating common carrier practices.
I will be speaking Monday afternoon on best practices for documenting claim files to help support stronger outcomes. On Tuesday, my colleague Christina Phillips will share practical guidance on presenting claims in accordance with policy requirements, drawing on her more than two decades of experience representing policyholders in insurance recovery disputes.
Caeden has really put together a strong lineup of continuing education opportunities and resources that Iowa professionals usually have to travel out of state to access. Anyone working in first-party claims should consider attending next week.
