Now is the time to make plans and register to attend the Georgia Association of Public Insurance Adjusters’ 2017 Spring Conference. The GAPIA conference will be held on May 2, 2017, at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta. You can register for the conference by clicking here.

If you are licensed to adjust claims in Georgia or are considering working it Georgia, it would behoove you to attend this conference and get intimately familiar with the Georgia specifics that really make a difference for your policyholders. Georgia jurisdiction and policy specifics are very important and these courses will help adjusters licensed in Georgia adjust claims in other states.

Chip Merlin and I will present Part II of Surviving Your Next Deposition.

Other public adjuster specific courses with continuing education include:

  • Insured Settlement Options: Measuring the Loss
  • Insurance Policies – What You Need to Look For
  • Damage=Devaluation, Restoration=Recovery
  • Fraud and Misrepresentation

There will also be a presentation by Jay Florence, Deputy Commissioner, Georgia Department of Insurance who will give an Overview/Update from the Georgia Department of Insurance.

Here is the complete agenda.

This may might be the best time for public adjusters to join GAPIA. GAPIA’s Membership Fee has been lowered from $500 to $250 for individual public adjusters. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity!

As a registered member of the association, there is no charge to attend the conference and you can earn six hours of continuing education credit. If you missed the last GAPIA newsletter, click here.
